EMBA Program Structure

The two-year program consists of rigorous core/foundation and specialization courses delivered in a blended mode combining online and on campus modules. The program entails a total of 78 (72 course credits + 6 dissertation credits) credits spread over 6 trimesters, wherein one credit corresponds to 10 contact hours.

Term-wise Structure

The break-up of 78 credits is provided below:

  1. In the first year, a participant must successfully complete 36 credit units through the core courses, spread over Terms I, II, and III.
  2. In the second year, a participant must successfully complete 42 credit units through his/her choice of elective courses spread over Terms IV, V, and VI and a dissertation.

Admission Policy

EMBA (Blended Mode) Admission Policy 2023

This document summarizes the approach of IIM Jammu to prepare the admission list for its EMBA(Blended Mode) Batch 2023-25. The batch size is likely to be around 90. IIM Jammu reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.

Selection Process

The selection process of IIM Jammu consists of:

  • Test Score - CAT/GMAT/GRE score or IIM Jammu Admission Test (IIMJAT) Score
  • Academic Profile –Graduation Score/percentage
  • Personal Interview
  • Preparation of Merit list will be based on CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMJAT Score, academic profile, gender diversity, and personal interview
  • The candidates with CAT/GMAT/GRE score obtained during the past three years may be exempted from the IIMJAT 2023. The past three years would be counted from the last date of the application.
  • IIM Jammu will strictly follow the Government of India's Reservation Policy

Eligibility

  • Work Experience: Candidates should have at least three years of work experience till the last date of application. Experience earned during the study period will not be considered.
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's Degree with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for General, 47% for NC - OBC, and 45% for SC/ST/DAP awarded by recognised University/educational institution or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India or alternately should have completed professional programs like CA/CS/ICWA.

  • Criteria for preparing the merit list will be based on the composite score comprising the weightage of CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMJAT score, the academic profile of graduation, work experience, gender diversity, and personal interview as follows:

Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal

After the declaration of the merit list, candidates will be asked to register for the expression of the interest. The candidates who will successfully register in the expression of interest will receive the admission offer as per the vacant seat and his/her order in the merit list. A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Jammu has to pay an offer acceptance amount of Rs.50,000/- within the stipulate date. If a candidate accepts the admission offer for the program, his/her offer acceptance amount will be adjusted against the term I Fee. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified by the Institute, amount will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1,000/- as processing charges. If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the date specified by the Institute, no refund will be admissible. In the event of withdrawal from the program after registration, no refund of offer acceptance amount & Term Fee will be made.
