DEPARTMENT OF MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a postgraduate degree focused on business administration. The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business administration such as accounting, applied statistics, human resources, business communication, business ethics, business law, strategic management, business strategy, finance, managerial economics, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, supply-chain management, and operations management in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy. Some programs also include elective courses and concentrations for further study in a particular area, for example, accounting, finance, marketing, and human resources, but an MBA is intended to be a generalized program.

Program Outcomes (PO)

 PO-1: Generic and Domain Knowledge – Ability to articulate, illustrate, analyze, synthesize and apply the knowledge of principles and frameworks of management and allied domains to the solutions of real-world complex business issues

PO-2: Problem Solving & Innovation – Ability to Identify, formulate and provide innovative solution frameworks to real world complex business and social problems by systematically applying  modern quantitative and qualitative problem solving tools and techniques.

PO-3: Critical Thinking – Ability to conduct investigation of multidimensional business problems using research based knowledge and research methods to arrive at data driven decisions

PO-4: Effective Communication – Ability to effectively communicate in cross-cultural settings, in technology mediated environments, especially in the business context and with society at large

PO-5: Leadership and Team Work – Ability to collaborate in an organizational context and across organizational boundaries and lead themselves and others in the achievement of organizational goals and optimize outcomes for all stakeholders.

PO-9: Social Responsiveness and Ethics – Ability to exhibit a broad appreciation of the ethical and value underpinnings of managerial choices in a political, cross-cultural, globalized, digitized, socio-economic environment and distinguish between ethical and unethical behaviors & act with integrity.

PO-10: Lifelong Learning – Ability to operate independently in new environment, acquire new knowledge and skills and assimilate them into the internalized knowledge and skills.

Program specific outcomes (PSO’s): MBA

 PSO1: Helped in designing with the objective of developing young men and women into highly adept professional managers.

PSO2: Help students to explore practical application of the management concept.

PSO3: Empowers students to demonstrate the ability to innovate, the ability to execute the most daunting of challenges in the most trying of circumstances.

PSO4: Helped to create synergies amongst the most diverse set of variables and the ability to continuously learn, improvise, adapt, energize, excel and grow.

PSO5: Encourage student on their professional development plans by reflecting on their first year’s learning and Summer Internship experiences.

PSO6: Providing a Strong analytical foundation in key functional areas and the other, enabling a high degree of academic flexibility, thereby allowing students to customize their MBA experience.

Course Outcome (CO)

 Institute is affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow therefore course outcome (CO) of each course is defined by the BOS of the university.

Admission Highlights

Eligibility for direct admission to first year in private institutions at Institute level under management quota (for nri candidates) / vacant Seats after counselling.

The 15% seats in private institutions shall be filled by the Management/ NRI quota at institute level under management quota as per specified eligibility criteria. The vacant seats in NRI/Management quota or vacant seats after counselling shall be filled strictly in following preference order, within fifteen days of the last date of counselling:

Firstly, by the qualified candidates of JEE (Main) fulfilling the eligibility as per clause for B. Tech. and CUET for BFA & BFAD. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examinations.

Secondly, by the merit of candidates in qualifying examinations lay down by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi for admission to various programmes which are updated from time to time.

Eligibility For Direct Admission (Lateral Entry) To Second Year In Private Institutions Under Vacant Seats After Counselling

The vacant seats in B. Tech course after counselling for lateral entry (second year) shall be filled within 15 days of the last date of counselling at institute level, firstly by the qualified candidates of, who fulfil the eligibility as specified above Their relative merit will  be decided on their rank in CUET Exam.

Thereafter, the vacant seats, if any, will be filled on merit by such candidates who have passed the qualifying examination securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate for B. Tech.
