The Department of Business Studies at DAVIM was established with the inception of the institute in 1997. The vision of the department is to develop students into business leaders equipped with knowledge, skills, integrity and values of AngloVedic culture. Global change is transforming everything around us and it calls for something new. So the department is committed to thought leadership with a deep understanding of business. Quality content and process of management education are determined through constant innovation and adaptation of the curriculum and pedagogy to rapidly changing national and global growth perspectives and corporate environment. The department has been maintaining high level of academic results by creating best learning opportunities and conducive academic environment and is constantly engaged in various teaching, training and research programmes producing young managers, who now occupy prestigious managerial positions in the corporate sector. The approach to pedagogy combines fieldwork, case studies, interaction with alumni and instrumented feedback with a strong emphasis on concepts and theory. The intent is to encourage intellectual curiosity and open minds to the adventure of ideas.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To equip the students with knowledge of current practices and techniques of the major business disciplines. Ÿ To develop students into leaders ready to tackle the challenges of today's business environment. Ÿ To inculcate professionalism, self awareness, leadership and effective communication skills in students. Ÿ To develop entrepreneurial mind set in students so that they can demonstrate knowledge, skills and techniques to lead entrepreneurial and strategic ventures. Ÿ To create awareness and sensitivity among the students towards environmental problems and its conservation.
