DAV University, Jalandhar is promoted by DAV College Managing Committee which is India's single largest non-government educational organization managing more than 800 institutions in the country. It has been providing students with an excellent education in modern academic environment.

The University traces its roots to the legacy that has been reforming and redefining India’s educational scenario for 130 years. The University has been established by a Legislative Act of the Punjab Government and empowered to confer degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.

It is a multi-disciplinary institution, home to faculties of teaching excellence in subjects from engineering to languages to natural sciences including physical and life sciences.

The setting up of the University is the culmination of the movement that started with the founding of the first DAV School in Lahore on June 1, 1886 to propagate the ideals of the religious and social reformer Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

1.Students having 95% to 100% marks at eligibility level has a concession of 100% of the Annual Tuition Fee Every year on maintenance of 9 or more CGPAfor DAVIAN.

2. Students having 90% to 94.99% marks at eligibility leve has a concession of 75% of the Annual Tuition Fee in first year only for DAVIAN.

3. Students having 80% to 89.99% marks at eligibility level has a concession of  50% of the Annual Tuition fee only for DAVIAN.

4.Two or more Siblings of same parents (Only Second or third gets scholarship till the time 2 or more siblings study in the University ) has a concession of 20% of the Annual Tuition Fee of the siblings.

The Department of Commerce and Business Management (CBM) envisions itself to become a hub of advance knowledge in the field of commerce and economics, it also strives to create leaders having domain expertise with strong character and ethics.
