David Memorial Institute of Management Hyderabad

David Memorial Institute of Management (DMIM) is a small MBA college at Lalapet Road, Tarnaka, in Secunderabad. It is run by the David Memorial Education Society, which was founded in 1968 in memory of Dr. R. David, a retired government medical officer, and which started with David Memorial School. The management institute came into existence in 1996; its MBA is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Osmania University.

The full-time MBA follows the Osmania University syllabus over four semesters, with 120 seats a year and three elective areas: Finance, Human Resources and Marketing. The website does not list the tuition fee, so check the current amount with the office (040-27019503) before you choose the college in counselling.

Seven in ten seats go to TS ICET candidates through the state counselling, and the remaining 30% are management-category seats filled on undergraduate marks. Note that the college says management-category students are not eligible for the state fee reimbursement scheme. To apply you need a degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST). The college points out that the campus has bus and metro connections, and outstation students can use a hostel located close to the college.
