The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB). The exam is held once a year in computer-based test mode and is aimed at admitting students to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in public and private universities in Odisha. 

The exam is designed to test the candidate's quantitative techniques, analytical techniques, and general awareness. The exam pattern ranges from easy to moderate, making it easier than other MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, ATMA, etc. The exam is quite popular in Odisha, with nearly 3,00,000 candidates belonging to the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education, CBSE, and ISC boards taking the test every year.

Eligibility Criteria

OJEE aspirants wishes to get a seat in top Management Colleges of Odisha, need to satisfy a few eligibility criteria to appear for the exam:-

  • Must have a qualified Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to a reserved category).
  • The degree must be from any recognised university.
  • In the case of Integrated MBA candidates must have passed 10+2.
  • There is no age limit prescribed for MBA admission courses.

Exam Pattern for OJEE 2024

The OJEE exam is conducted online by OJEEB in CBT mode. The question paper consists of 60 questions in Integrated MBA (duration of 1 hour) and 120 questions in MBA paper (duration of 2 hours). Each correct answer will be rewarded with 4 marks, while there is a penalty of one mark for every incorrect answer. To excel in the exam, students need to create an effective exam strategy and work on it accordingly. The exam strategy should consist of both short-term and long-term plans as per their individual needs. Here are a few tips that can help with exam preparation:

  • Begin your preparation with a brief knowledge of the exam syllabus so that you can create a roadmap for further preparation.
  • Analyse the question paper and divide the question paper into two such as your weak topics and strengths.
  • Begin your preparation by focusing on your weaker topics to allow enough time for rectifying your mistakes.
