The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, also known as TANCET, is an exam conducted by Anna University. The primary objective of this exam is to fill post-graduate seats in various programs like M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan, ME, MBA, and MCA. There are around 200 Tamil Nadu based colleges are linked to this exam and accept the scorecard to fill their vacant seats in multiple programs.
Every year, approximately 40,000 students appear in the exam to fill 15,000 seats. The exam is conducted offline and consists of 100 objective-type questions that must be attempted in two hours. All questions are mandatory and carry one mark each. The question paper is divided into five sections: data sufficiency, reading comprehension, English usage, business situations, and quantitative ability.

Eligibility Criteria
The TANCET, 2024 has some specific eligibility criteria to appear in the exam, candidate need to fulfil the criteria before registration, check your eligibility below:-
- Only Indian Candidates are eligible to sit in the exam.
- The Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any field with minimum 50% marks for the unreserved category and 45% for the reserved category.
- The Candidates in final semester can also apply,
- The Candidate who’ve already a valid GATE score card are exempted from TANCET 2024.
TANCET Exam Pattern 2024
The exam is primarily conducted in offline mode and comprises 100 objective questions, for 1 mark each. The question paper is divided into 5 different sections about which we will do a detailed analysis below, there is also have negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response, candidate have to fill their responses in English and Tamil Languages as per their convenience:-

Preparation for the TANCET, 2024, requires a focused approach, it is a quite challenging task but possible with the right approach. You need to plan and maintain a study plan with dedication and discipline to crack the exam with distinction. Below are a few points that can help you to prepare for your TANCET 2024:-
