The regular BBA program is designed to provide students with in-depth conceptual clarity in fundamental principles of management. It opens a plethora of opportunities to obtain specializations in one of the five areas of Accounting & Finance, Banking and Financial Services, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management and International Business. A rigorous training in communication spread over five semesters of the course and a choice of elective courses broaden the student’s perspective and give a range of exposure across multiple disciplines.
BBA Honors focuses on an objective of more on-field training for students. Students will have an opportunity of working with prestigious organizations like TCS and Wadhwani Foundation, US; as a part of their program. This three-year course has been designed keeping in mind to bridge the chasm between managerial education and hands-on corporate experience. Enriched with multi-disciplinary courses, more number of credits and fierce work experience, this programme aims towards a 360 degree development of students.
The programs have been designed targeting specific outcomes in terms of concepts, skills and values for the students at each year of the 3-year course. This gradual progression will ensure that students emerge from the program ready for higher education, placement in the corporate sector or starting their own venture.
Program Objectives
- To equip students with academic knowledge and understanding of the theory, principles and conceptual framework of business administration and subjects allied to it
- To inculcate the ability to observe situations and make connections between academic knowledge and practical application
- To help develop the ability to manage oneself and work collaboratively in teams
- To ensure that students learn to critically evaluate and analyze complex situations and hone problem-solving skills
- To develop strong communication skills supporting their role as future managers
- To encourage students to think creatively and innovatively
Eligibility Norms
- The applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary Education Board exam of any state (i.e. GSHEB for Gujarat)/ Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE)/ Indian Council of Secondary Examination (ICSE) or its equivalent under the 10+2 pattern.
- The applicant must have obtained the following minimum aggregate marks (i.e., total marks obtained divided by the maximum total marks admissible, including marks of all subjects- theory and practical):
- For open category candidates: 45%
- For reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates: 40%
