The genesis of IIHMR University dates to October 5, 1984, when the Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) was established. In 2014, IIHMR University was established and incorporated as a postgraduate research university by the Government of Rajasthan vide the IIHMR University, Jaipur Act, 2014 (Act No. 3, of 2014). 
Our multi-disciplinary faculty, representing Public Health, Hospital Management, Health Management, Pharmaceutical Management, Development Management, Economics, Statistics, Demography and Social and Behaviourial Sciences provides an enabling environment for learning and professional growth and development.
IIHMR University offers the following post-graduate programmes: MBA (Hospital and Health Management), MBA (Pharmaceutical Management), MBA (Development Management), Master of Public Health Offered by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, MD, USA in cooperation with IIHMR University, Jaipur, India, Master of Public Health (Implementation Science) (fully funded WHO-TDR programme), Executive MPH, and Executive MHA. The University offers PhD programmes in major areas of Hospital Management, Health Management, Development Studies, Public Health, and Pharmaceutical Management.
IIHMR University has a strong collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, USA; Chester University, UK; University of Montreal, Canada; Curtin University, Australia; Kandahar University, Afghanistan; 
Management and Science University (MSU) Malaysia; and Rajasthan University of Health Sciences for student exchange, faculty exchange, and joint research programmes.

MBA Hospital and Health Management 
Merit Scholarship:
The merit scholarships will be awarded to students applying for MBA HHM as per the following details on meeting any one of the given eligibility criteria and score obtained in the admission process:

Total Number of Merit Scholarships Available: 45 Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded to students based on meeting any one of the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:
55% or above aggregate marks in MBBS
65% or above aggregate marks in BDS/ AYUSH
80% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree
Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 1,00,000 each student
Freeships:
Under freeships, full tuition fee reimbursement will be offered to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ EWS (Economically Weaker section) on need cum merit basis.
Total Number of Freeships available: 1 seat for SC/ST/OBC and 1 seat for EWS.
Eligibility Criteria: Freeships will be awarded to eligible students based on combined merit (Including all rounds of GD & PI) prepared at the time of admission
Amount of Freeship: Rs. 7,53,500 each student
Other Terms and Conditions
The University reserves the right to add, withdraw or modify any of the criteria, amount and count for all scholarship details mentioned above at any time. Decision of the University will be final regarding award of scholarships to the deserving students. The Academic Department of the University will maintain the records related to the grant of scholarships.
Every student wishing to apply for the freeship shall be required to submit a valid SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS Certificate from a competent authority. Students from the SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS have to determine their eligibility for gaining scholarship as per the prevalent Rules and Regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Scholarship may be discontinued at any time for any kind of misconduct by the student, like involving in the act of ragging, misbehavior etc. on the recommendations of the Head of the University.
The student who is awarded the scholarship shall not apply to any other scholarship offered by any government authority, NGO, statutory body or any other organization. If any student is found to be applying or receiving the scholarship from any other source, then his name will immediately be cancelled for the scholarship in IIHMR University, Jaipur.
