Kothari, Founding Father of the Chemical Giant – Jaysynth Group (one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of reactive and disperse dyes in India), found inspiration in his father Late Shri. Shoorji T Kothari, who was of the firm opinion that empowerment comes with education. As his social and moral responsibility, he was determined to establish a professional education institute – one that would empower and enrich young minds. Deccan Education Society with its 135 plus-year-old legacy of fulfilling the social, cultural, and educational aspirations of the society, joined hands with him. And the rest is history.

Dedicated to late Shri. Sharadchandra S Kothari’s wife Smt. Jayshree Sharadchandra Kothari, the foundation stone was laid in the Mumbai Campus of the Deccan Education Society. J S Kothari Business School, is an AICTE Institute, with PGDM as its flagship programme. The atmosphere at JSKBS is innovative, modern, and technology driven. And at the core of it, the focus is on knowledge and a holistic approach to education is followed. Our founders at Deccan Education Society (DES) had started off with the vision of fulfilling social, cultural, and of course, educational aspirations of the society. With that approach, our purpose of existence is to serve society by grooming minds that go on to become successful and sensitive individuals. In spite of Business Management being one of the most competitive streams worldwide, JSKBS strives to maintain a sharp, knowledge-driven structure.
