Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

  • 45 % of the seats will be filled by Government of Karnataka through Karnataka Examination Authority with CET ranking
  • 30% of the seats will be filled through COMEDK
  • 25% seats through Management quota
  • In addition to sanctioned intake, 10% seats are allotted under lateral entry quota
  • Also, 5% seats are allotted by KEA under Super Numarery Quota (SNQ) as per Govt order
  • Few of the students are allotted by AICTE under PMSS quota for J&K students. PMSSS May be verified (after 370 article)

Duration:

4 years (8 Semesters)

Eligibility:

  • Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects Chemistry /Computer Science / Electronics/ Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category as per Government order) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Lateral Entry to Second Year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution, with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
  • For admission under management quota, students should compulsorily appeared in CET/COMEDK/JEE or any other entrance test for professional program.
