Instructions

  1. The test has 2 parts: Part 1 (Verbal & Logical Ability 26, Decision Making 21, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation 28 questions, 165 min); Part 2: General Knowledge (General Knowledge 20 questions, 15 min).
  2. In a section with its own timer, the section is submitted automatically when the time ends and the next one opens. You cannot go back to it once it is submitted.
  3. In a part with several sections, one timer runs for the whole part and you can move between its sections and questions in any order. When the time ends, the part is submitted automatically and you cannot return to it.
  4. Every question carries +1 mark. A wrong multiple-choice answer costs −0.25 (no negative marking in General Knowledge). Unanswered questions score 0, except that 0.1 mark is deducted for every unattempted question beyond 8 in the main part.
  5. Every multiple-choice question has 5 options.
  6. Use Mark for Review & Next to flag a question you want to look at again. A question that is answered and marked is still counted when you submit.
  7. Do not refresh or close the page during the test. Your attempt is saved to your account when you submit the last part.

About this test

The questions were written by MyCampusReview for practice. Every answer and solution is shown after you submit. Use the raw score to see where you lose marks (accuracy, time per section, TITA questions), not to predict a percentile.

Questions

Is this XAT mock test free?

Yes. It is free. You need a free account (name, mobile number, city, email and password) so that your score and answers are saved under My account and you can see your progress across tests.

Does it follow the XAT pattern?

It follows the recent XAT format as described by coaching institutes: Part 1 has Verbal and Logical Ability (26 questions), Decision Making (21) and Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28) under one timer, and you can move between these sections freely; Part 2 is General Knowledge (20 questions), scored separately. Every question has five options. A right answer gets +1 and a wrong one −0.25. In Part 1 there is also a deduction of 0.1 mark for each unattempted question beyond 8. There is no negative marking in General Knowledge. XLRI changes details of the paper from year to year, so check the official XAT notice for the current pattern.

Are these the questions from the real XAT?

No. They are original practice questions written by MyCampusReview in the style of the exam, including the Decision Making cases. They are not past-paper questions, the answers to judgement-based Decision Making questions reflect one reasoned view, and the raw score here is not a prediction of your XAT percentile.

Will I see solutions?

Yes. After you submit, the result page shows your score by section and a worked solution for every question.
