National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management Hyderabad

The National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM) is a tourism and hospitality institute at Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. It is a society set up in 2004, promoted by the Ministry of Tourism, and the institute says it was jointly established by the Government of India and the state government. Classes began in October 2004. Its chairperson and director are Telangana government officials. The MBA degree is awarded by JNTU Hyderabad under an MoU.

The main postgraduate course is the MBA (Tourism & Hospitality), a two-year, four-semester programme covering tourism, travel, hospitality and management. NITHM also runs a BBA (T&H) and a B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. Its 2026-28 MBA admission bulletin lists tuition of ₹40,000 a year, so ₹80,000 for the course. Adding the institutional and training fee (₹46,000 a year) and exam fee (₹18,000 a year), the full cost is ₹1,04,000 a year, or ₹2,08,000 for two years, plus a refundable ₹5,000 caution deposit. Sponsored and NRI candidates pay an extra ₹50,000 a year.

Admission is the institute's own process, not state counselling seat allotment. You need a bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent (45 percent for SC/ST) and a valid score in CAT, MAT, ATMA, TS ICET or a similar management test. Shortlisted candidates then sit a group discussion and interview at NITHM. The bulletin describes an on-campus hostel with separate blocks for girls and boys, with hostel charges listed separately as optional.
