CUET PG Exam 2026 - Who is Eligible?

As this exam allows the students to have admission in a number of PG programs in India, the applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from any recognized institution in India. The eligibility criteria for the applicants are subject to a few more terms and conditions as mentioned below.

Final Year Students / Appearing Candidates

Candidates in the final year of their undergraduate degree (or awaiting results) are allowed to apply, provided they meet the required criteria before admission / counselling.

Age Limit

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in CUET PG. However, universities may impose their own age criteria for admission.

Nationality / Residency

• Indian citizens are eligible.

• Nationals of Nepal, Bhutan; Tibetan refugees settled before Jan 1, 1962; and some foreign nationals who have permanently settled in India may also be eligible as per rules.

• In some sources, NRIs / OCIs / foreign nationals are also mentioned as eligible to apply (depending on participating universities)
