Students’ passion for studying in Karnataka is no longer a secret. In particular, those aspiring to build a strong foundation in the fields of management and computer science often aim to pursue their master’s degrees in Karnataka. These students eagerly await one of the most important annual entrance exams, which opens doors to over 170 AICTE-approved MBA colleges and 60 MCA colleges in the state.

That exam is the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT).

Conducted and administered by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges' Association, KMAT 2025 registration dates have now been officially announced. This 2-hour online exam, consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), will be held in September 2025 as a home-based remote proctored test.

The registration process began on May 30, 2025, and will continue until August 10, 2025. Since the deadline is fast approaching, candidates are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks from a government-recognized university.
  • For SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation to 45% or equivalent CGPA.
  • Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply for KMAT 2025.

KMAT, known for its student-friendly approach, consists of 120 questions with no negative marking. While the test is generally considered to be of moderate difficulty, mastering the entire syllabus is crucial for success.

KMAT Exam Registration Date – Extended to 10 August 2025

Good news for students who had been dreaming of building their careers through KMAT but missed earlier opportunities! The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association has extended the KMAT 2025 registration deadline from July 31, 2025, to August 10, 2025. This means there are only a few days left to register—so don’t miss out this time!

Follow the steps below to complete your registration quickly:

  1. Visit the official website of KMAT Exam.
  2. Now enter and select your information.
  3. The registration process requires you to share some personal details such D.O.B, email address, phone number, and nativity.
  4. Note that your registration will only be successful when you pay the fee of 874 INR (including GST and Platform fee).

Note: Students who wish to appear for both KMAT exams—one for MBA and the other for MCA—must complete two separate registrations, one for each program. Applicants will also receive two separate hall tickets accordingly.

KMAT 2025 Mock Test Date

Mock tests are designed to assist you in your KMAT preparation. To be very clear, KMAT mock tests help students develop mastery over the subject, discipline, focus, and mental endurance. Since the ability to maintain concentration during the KMAT exam can be a game-changer, the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association organizes a mock test before the actual exam.

Taking this mock test can significantly improve your study efficiency, refine your test-taking strategy, and boost your confidence.

While the exact date for the KMAT 2025 mock test has not yet been announced, it is expected to be held in the second week of September, just a few days before the final exam.

KMAT Exam Session, Pattern and Structure 2025

To ensure a hassle-free exam experience for thousands of students across the nation, the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association conducts the KMAT exam in two sessions:

  • MCA session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • MBA session: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Your exam session will depend on the discipline you choose. Both sessions are conducted as two-hour, home-based remote-proctored tests.

KMAT 2025 Exam Registration Fee

The KMAT exam registration process comes with a few important conditions, one of which is the registration fee of ₹874 per application. This means that if you register for both MBA and MCA exams, you will need to pay the fee twice.

What’s more, please note that the KMAT registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

KMAT Result Date 2025

The KMAT (All India) result for 2025 has not yet been announced by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association. Since the exam is scheduled for September, the results are expected to be released in late October or early November.
