The VITEEE 2026 test will be conducted on two shifts between April 28 and May 3, 2026. It is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), which means you will take the exam on a computer at an exam centre.

Section-Wise Question Distribution

VITEEE 2026 has 125 questions which are categorized into 5 sections. The first section varies in accordance with the first stream that you take either Mathematics stream (MPCEA) or the Biology stream (BPCEA).

Big Change in 2026: Negative Marking is Now Introduced

This update is the most crucial update to VITEEE 2026. For the first time, VIT has introduced negative marking. Here is how the new marking scheme works:
 • Correct Answer: +4 marks
 • Wrong Answer: -1 mark
 • Unattempted Question: 0 marks

• MPCEA (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Aptitude) — Students who have studied Mathematics in Class 12. This is the most regular B.Tech program.
