RSB offers a rich curriculum PGDM in management courses that is on par with the top-ranked Indian, Institutes of management in terms of the breadth of its offerings, the pedagogy used, and the blended curriculum of core and soft-skills courses. These soft-skill courses, which are part of our Career Enhancement Training Programme (CETP) consist of both in-classroom training as well as out-of-the-classroom training and preparation that will make our students industry-ready from the day they graduate from RSB. The PGDM course in Tamilnadu offered by RSB includes training for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews, Industrial Visits and Guest Lectures from industry leaders, the Summer Internship Programme at the end of the first year, etc. These, along with our Corporate Mentorship Programme, allows the candidates pursuing PGDM course in Chennai offered by RSB to hit the ground running, and start becoming productive employees from the very beginning, in the organizations where they are placed.

Additionally, to address any problems that our students might face-both academic and non-academic,they are attached in small groups to a Faculty Mentor, whom they can approach for resolution of their problems. The Mentor-Mentee relationship continues for the entire duration of the student’s stay in RSB.

First Year

The first year program at one of the best b schools in Chennai Tamilnadu provides students with a solid foundation in management education through a rigorous set of core courses in all the functional areas: PGDM In Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Operations & Quantitative Techniques, Economics, Systems, and PGDM In Human Resource Management. A broad perspective of the industrial environment is laid for understanding the role of the manager in corporate life. Parallelly, Career Enhancement Training courses are also provided with inputs in communication, personality and language development, as well as an array of career development skills.

At the end of the first year, students are required to undergo an internship of about 8 to 10 weeks in an organization, working on a project in any functional area. This helps the student understand how an organization works, providing a first-hand experience of working in an organization. Students also get a chance to apply some of the tools and techniques they learned in the first year to solve real-world problems in a business setting. The internship also gives student an insights into deciding the choice of an elective course for the second year in the program.

Second Year

The second-year programme at one of the best PGDM Institutes in Chennai includes some more core courses that give the finishing touches to the student’s all-round business education, as well as a set of elective courses that students can opt for, to get a deeper knowledge in their chosen areas of specialization. RSB offers students a choice of two major areas of specialization from Marketing, PGDM In Finance, Operations, OB/HR, and PG Diploma in Business Analytics, and provides an array of courses that help students get specialized expertise in their chosen areas, and also give them an opportunity to present themselves as business-ready candidates to the business world. Admission Highlights

ADMISSION PROCESS
The Admission Committee puts a lot of effort into understanding each applicant’s academic ability, career goals, leadership potential, extracurricular activities, and interpersonal skills. In order to create a diverse and intellectually stimulating learning environment, RSB seeks to admit students from all disciplines and walks of life across the country. The following are the prerequisites and criteria for PGDM admission:

Eligibility for Applying
A candidate seeking admission to PGDM must posses UGC recognized Under Graduation degree such as B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/BBA/B.Com etc or an equivalent examination approved by the AICTE with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get a relaxation in the qualifying marks with cut off of 45%

Candidates who are in final year of Bachelor’s degree, are also eligible to apply. However such candidate’s will have to submit the original certificate of having graduated and mark sheet of the final year degree examination on or before 30th September. Failing to do so, the candidates admission will be cancelled.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Applicants should have a valid GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/TANCET score. Entrance exam scores are considered as an indicator of academic ability and achievement and is only one of the parameters for final selection.

SELECTION PROCESS
Short-listed candidates will be called to attend Personal Interview. Call-letters for the Interview round are sent through courier, post and e-mail.

RSB’s selection happens through the composite score of students based on the parameters given below:
