The innate nature of humans is to be creative. In the era of technology, machines will become the workforce. One domain that will always need human visioning and execution is creativity. We help our students to realize their creative nature and utilize it for a professional and societal impact.
The Bachelor of Design program at Rishihood University immerses students in focused training, interdisciplinary inquiry, and practice-based collaborative learning. Creators and scholars master established art and design fields and advance emerging ones in an education that reflects students’ passions, challenges them academically, and prepares them to create a more just, more beautiful, and better-designed world.

CORE CREATIVE STUDIES
Core Creative Studies provides an exciting, exploratory experience with learning that underpins all future creative practice.
There is an emphasis on “drawing”, exploring its many forms from representational and technical to experimental and abstract. The Unit helps embed the Universities “holistic” approach to education by stressing that creative practice cannot be separated from the wider culture. Creative thinking sessions are a major part of the curriculum, aiding ideas generation and encouraging lateral approaches to project work.

CONTEXTUAL STUDIES
The “Ecosystem” approach which is a key feature of the University’s philosophy is exemplified strongly in this Unit. Through lectures, seminars, visiting speakers, and educational visits students gain an understanding of the history and contemporary context of Art, Design, and Media. Their fundamental connection and importance to all aspects of social and cultural activity are explained and discussed.
