SOUTH ASIAN UNIVERSITY DELHI

South Asian University (SAU) was officially inaugurated in 2010 (New Delhi), after an intergovernmental agreement between the SAARC countries, with the objective of fostering the cooperation of higher education in the region. This university is situated in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi and is accredited by both the University Grant commission (UGC) and by the participating governments of SAARC. The Faculty of Arts and Design is one of its many faculties, although it remains relatively new and is poised to offer a combination of art, media and design under one roof. The vision of the university entails the development of designers and creators that are responsive to South Asian cultural situations, media landscapes and developing technologies.
