Established in the year 1995, Fortune Institute of International Business is located in the heart of Vasant Vihar on Rao Tula Ram Marg. FIIB is a small, not-for-profit management institute focused on practical learning rather than on 'just' theoretical knowledge. It aspires to make its students job-ready by instilling real skills, confidence, and leadership qualities. Its pedagogical style is hands-on and outcomes-driven; thus, its students learn how to apply concepts in real business situations.
The Institute is women-driven and led by strong values that inculcate sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity in campus life as well as classroom learning. FIIB fosters a supportive environment in which students from all backgrounds feel encouraged, valued, and empowered to grow.
The FIIB's main programmes are the PGDM and PGDM in Financial Management, approved by AICTE, which essentially means that the programmes meet quality standards laid down nationally. Both have also been accredited by the NBA, demonstrating that the programs adhere to strong academic and industrial practices. PGDM is recognized as equivalent to an MBA by AIU, this therefore enables students to use it for further higher studies or where there is a requirement for an MBA.
The Institute has international affiliations like AACSB Business Education Alliance (USA), EDAMBA (Europe), and RRBM, each of which advocates for responsible and quality management education. These memberships indicate that FIIB follows international standards for learning and research.
Regarding ranking, FIIB regularly figures among the top private B-schools in Delhi NCR. The Week 2023 ranked FIIB as 5th among private B-schools in Delhi, while CSR-GHRDC 2023 ranked it as 8th in Delhi/ NCR. It was positioned around 81st in the national B-school lists by India Today and Business Today.
FIIB offers two major full-time programs, namely PGDM (General) and PGDM in Financial Management. Both programs are two-year full-time courses designed to prepare students with a strong academic foundation along with practical skills. The General PGDM encompasses specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Business Analytics, and International Business. The PGDM-FM in finance is for those candidates who would like to build a career in banking, investment, or financial services.
The Institute offers a set of research-based programs, such as the Fellow Programme in Management and the Executive FPM, especially catering to the needs of working professionals or students looking to pursue an academic and research career. In addition, one can consider another course, namely the PGP in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, offered in collaboration with IBM, focusing on modern data and technology skill sets.
At FIIB, practical learning cuts across all programs through internships, corporate projects, and 'live' case studies, among activities emphasizing sustainability and responsible business.
The overall academic fee payable for the two-year PGDM and PGDM-FM from FIIB will be approximately INR 11.55 lakhs. This includes only tuition and academic charges. Hostel, food, and all other living costs are separate. More so, FIIB extends scholarships to students to soften the financial burden. It has a tuition fee assistance program called TAP, which offers up to approximately INR 2.8 lakhs to deserving candidates. Besides the TAP, the institute provides merit-cum-need scholarships to students based on their academic scores, achievements, or need factor.
Admission to FIIB is entrance-based. The institute accepts scores from major exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, and ATMA. Following the submission of the entrance score, FIIB follows an elaborate selection process that considers the applicant's academic background, work experience, communication skills, and performance during the personal interview. The final selection is done in a balanced manner so that the enrollment includes students who are capable as well as possess potential.
At FIIB, there is a very strong placement and corporate relations team that takes care of and works with the students throughout their two years. The highest package lies in a range of approximately INR 24–25 LPA. In addition, the top 20% of the students have secured an average CTC of approximately INR 10 LPA or more. The overall average package is approximately INR 6.5–7 LPA. FIIB has also been maintaining an excellent placement percentage of approximately 97% for PGDM and PGDM-FM programs.
One of the key strengths of FIIB is the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. It helps to develop an entrepreneurial mindset among the students through mentoring, networking, events, and competitions. The centre counsels students with business ideas on how to turn their ideas into real, workable ventures.
FIIB also features an active research environment. The institute conducts conferences, workshops, and faculty-led projects focused on responsible management and sustainability. Students are also welcome to join this research activity, which helps them build up analytical thinking and understand the real business challenges.
