Established in 1965, Veer Narmad South University is a private university in Surat, Gujarat. The name of this university was changed in 2004 after the famous poet Narmadshankar Lalshankar Dave, who was more commonly known as Veer Narmad. The campus of this university was built on an area of 2210 acres. This is a UGC-recognized university. Moreover, this university has NAAC accreditation with a grade of B++ till 2022. More than 450 colleges are affiliated with this university; some of these are government colleges, grant-in-aid, and self-financed. This university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses under 12 faculties that include arts, commerce, science, and management studies.
