NID Entrance Exam 2024 - The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct NID DAT 2024 (Prelims) on December 24, 2024.
The exam will be conducted in paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The DAT Prelims question paper for the B.Des program may include both textual and visual questions. Meanwhile, the question paper for the M.Des program will include a mix of objective and subjective questions.
The application form for NID DAT 2024 is now OPEN. Interested candidates who meet NID DAT 2024 eligibility criteria can apply from September 8 - December 1, 2023.
With late fees, applications will be accepted up to December 3, 2023,
Meanwhile, the application edit window will be open from December 5-7, 2023.
The NID DAT 2024 application fee is INR 3000.
The result of DAT Prelims will be announced sometime in March 2024. Candidates who qualify in DAT Prelims will be eligible for DAT Mains.
NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID) to shortlist candidates for admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Master of Design (MDes) courses offered by the participating institutes.
Currently, the B.Des course has an intake of 425 seats and is offered at the following FIVE campuses - NID Ahmedabad, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. Meanwhile, the M.Des course offers 347 seats at its THREE campuses - NID Ahmedabad, NID Gandhinagar, and NID Bengaluru
The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is conducted in two stages:
1.DAT Prelims - The candidate first appears in DAT Prelims.
2.DAT Mains - Shortlisted candidates have to appear in DAT Mains.
The admission merit list of NID DAT will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.
