SNAP Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

Understanding and practicing according to the latest exam pattern and syllabus can be the key to scoring high in SNAP 2026. The exam consists of three sections and has a duration of 60 minutes. These sections are General English, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. As there is no sectional time limit, students are free to attempt any section first. While different students may have different strategies, the most effective approach is to solve the General English questions first, followed by Logical Reasoning, and finally Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.

Always remember to move forward one step at a time because there is negative marking. It is worth noting that each correct answer earns you 1 mark, while each incorrect answer costs you 0.25 marks. This means that four incorrect answers can cost you one full mark. So, be careful and improve your accuracy and time management with our SNAP question papers.

FAQs

What are SNAP PYQs?

PYQs simply mean Previous Year Question Papers. However, as the conducting body of SNAP has not released PYQs since 2019, they are no longer available for download. All you can find are sample papers or a list of highly important questions.

Why practice SNAP old question papers?

SNAP has been conducted since 2004. Over time, a lot has changed in the exam, including the syllabus and exam pattern. Therefore, question papers from before 2019 are no longer relevant. Solving them can be a waste of both time and effort. Moreover, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has stopped releasing PYQs since 2019, so official old question papers are not available. Attempting sample papers is the best way to become familiar with the SNAP exam, as they closely replicate the actual questions and exam-like conditions.

How to solve SNAP question papers effectively?

Your decision to solve SNAP sample papers can strengthen both your preparation and time management skills, but only if you practice them carefully and pay attention to detail. The best strategy is to begin by building a strong foundation and then solving one sample paper at a time. Once you gain confidence, you can move on to solving other sample papers under strict exam-like conditions. Also, create and maintain an error log to identify, track, and correct your mistakes so that you do not repeat them during the actual exam.

Mistakes to avoid while solving PYQs

Never take sample papers for granted. Although they are not the actual question papers, they are the closest representation of the questions that may appear in the real exam and deserve to be treated seriously. Try to create and maintain exam-like conditions while solving them. Avoid all types of distractions and be honest with yourself. In short, treat every sample paper like a mock test in which every correct and incorrect answer can make a difference.
